Designed as an adapter for mains sockets, the GreenPlug extends the Smart Grid to electrical sockets. It supports residential consumers, communities and utilities in measuring the electricity consumption and in controlling of connected loads. Based on the proven HomePlug AV standard, the GreenPlug provides remote access to stored metering data and the integrated load control relay via encrypted TCP/IP networking over power line.

  • Permits measuring of forward acitve energy consumption, RMS voltage and RMS current
  • Equipped with a 16A load switch for performing tariff-, time- and consumption-based switching actions on connected loads
  • An integrated HomePlug AV based power line modem provides TCP/IP networking over the power supply grid
  • 128-bit AES encryption over power line keeps data privacy and data authenticity
  • Based on its Web Services interface the GreenPlug may be operated by any IP capable device
  • The GreenPlug is fully supported by ubitronix's Meter Server
